TPA says recent calls for mandatory smoke alarm installations in rental properties  is an opportunity for all parties to come together to improve the safety and quality of rental housing. 

Our Annual General Meeting this year will be on Monday 24th November 2014.  It is being held at Christchurch Community House 301 Tuam Street Christchurch between 4pm and 6pm.

Tenants Protection Association are asking tenants  for their help.  Helen Gatonyi says "the tables have turned and we are now asking tenants and other users of our services if they can help us as we face losing our home and closing the doors until we can find enough funding to continue our services"

Today, TPA have released the following plea.

Christchurch City Council is considering changing the way it provides social housing in its district.

The Council wants to know what its City Housing tenants, stakeholders and the Christchurch community think about the proposal, with consultation open from 21 May, 2014, until Thursday, 26 June 2014. Anyone who is interested can make a written submission.
