'It's submission time again!"

'It's submission time again!

We think everyone deserves to live in a warm, dry house, and feel safe and secure in their home. But for many people renting in New Zealand, this is sadly not their reality.

Right now the Government is considering the biggest changes to rental laws in over a decade. There is an opportunity to comment on the reform of the Residential Tenancies Act, as well as the housing standards proposed for the Healthy Homes Guarantee Act.

Have your say
The submission forms for these public consultations are very long and detailed. So we're teaming up with Healthy Christchurch and Anglican Advocacy to host a submissions workshop next Wednesday. Come along to find out more about the legislation and why it matters:

When: Wednesday 10 October, 12pm - 1.30pm
Where: Aoraki Room, Community and Public Health (310 Manchester Street), Christchurch.

If you would like to make a submission on the day, there will be paper submission forms available, or you can BYO laptop or tablet. Please bring your own lunch and come a little early if you would like to use the tearoom to make tea or coffee.
